Blue Cedar Landscapes’ site blooms into life

We are pleased to announce a new site launch this week for local firm, Blue Cedar Landscapes, who devise and implement quite stunning gardens – and we should know, as they did a super job on ours ;-)

Blue Cedar wanted a very simple site to give the basics on their services, as well as a gallery feature to show off some of their finest creations.

Lovelywork built this quickly and efficiently, and we are looking forward to tending to the site with the odd prune and sprinkle of new content. Ok, enough already with the gardening theme!

If you are a sole trader or small business and you need help getting a simple web presence together along similar lines as Blue Cedar, then please do drop us a mail and we’ll be only too pleased to help with your requirements.

We’re *so* HipLogic

There’s nothing like getting involved with a piece of innovative technology – in this case, the US mobile technology firm, HipLogic Inc, a company formed by key members of the J2ME engineering team at Sun Microsystems.

Their invention – a runtime installation, called HipLogic Live – redefines the way people consume content on their mobile phones. The platform improves content and application discoverability, provides a consistent user experience across all handset models, and optimizes data traffic on cellular networks.

The platform is available for smartphones (including Symbian, Windows Mobile, and now Android) as well as feature phones (LG, Samsung) running closed real-time operating systems.

You can view a demo of the Symbian version on You Tube.

Over 2009-10, Lovelywork deployed HipLogic for The Carphone Warehouse, Europe’s leading independent retailer.

Off that back of this successful launch relationship, HipLogic contracted Lovelywork’s for the following services:

  • Retail Customer Management: responsible for the attainment of revenue goals from retail customers such as The Carphone Warehouse and territory expansion into CPW’s european markets.
  • Media Partner Acquisition and Management: Lead relationships and direct strategies for key Media and Content Partners such as Sky, Google, Microsoft and Publicis Group

Lovelywork tee off for Crown Golf

Our build for Crown Golf involved a number of important factors – all of which needed to be co-ordinated closely between client and our IT partner, Ioko, to ensure a sucessful launch.

The Crown Golf web overhaul involved the following elements:

  • Functional scoping & wireframing
  • Project management through to launch
  • Design/HTML of templates
  • Integration of templates with off-the-shelf CMS
  • Flash map section to browse to specific locations
  • Specific content filling for 25 individual golf club modules

Below are a few images from the original site which went live in 2005. It has since been redesigned, by another team, but we’re proud of the results we achieved with this site – and getting it live on Xmas Eve!
